Congress Schedule - March 6, 2021

COACHES MUST CHECK IN BY 8:15 am 

Registration  8:15 am - 8:45 am

Round 1   9 am - 11 am

Round 2   11:30 am - 1:30 pm

SUPERSESSION 2:30pm - 5:30pm

FAQ:

1. In line with what we've done all year at CFL league tournaments, we will use DIRECT QUESTIONING.

2. We will reset precedence at the start of the second session.

3. There will be NO SUSPENSION OF RULES allowed. In light of the fact that we have no authorship speeches, we will alternate between aff and neg speeches as normal. There will be a ONE minute cx after each speech. There will NOT be a two minute cx after the first aff as it is NOT an authorship speech.

4. The rule of NO RECESS will be followed. There will be NO RECESS during any of the three sessions tomorrow. Students are allowed to rise to a point of personal privilege, but there will be NO BREAKS during sessions.

5. Students should prepare for straight up debates just as we've had all year long so no motions to amend, appeal, rescind - this should be good old fashioned debate just like we've done all year.

6. The link to the rooms we will use is now available on the tabroom page.

7. Students can congregate in the DEBATE STUDENT LOUNGE if they so choose.

8. Coaches, judges and tab will be in room 182. Schools must have coach check in by 8:15 am. 

9. HARD STOPS will be in effect- time will not be pushed beyond the scheduled end time for any reason.
